The Bruno Breyer Medal

Awarded approximately every four (4) years by the Electrochemistry Division the Breyer Medal and Lecture commemorates the late Dr Bruno Breyer, who was born in Czechoslovakia, educated in Germany, and later became a pioneer of AC polarography in Australia.

The medal is awarded at the Australian Electrochemistry Meeting for internationally-recognized contributions in the field of electrochemistry.

Past recipients include G.J. Hills, J.O'M. Bockris, F.T. Bacon, R. Parsons, A.J. Bard, M. Fleischmann, H. Gerischer, H.A.O. Hill, R. Murray and Frank Walsh.

Nominations should provide an assessment of the nominee's work and list relevant publications. The nominee must consent in writing to the nomination. The Committee reserves the right not to make an award if none of the nominated candidates has sufficient merit.
