HSE Division Presents: An Overview of the NICNAS reforms

HSE Division will provide an overview of the reforms and their impact on local manufacturers and importers of industrial chemicals and formulated products containing industrial chemicals.

Adrian Thomas, of the RACI Health, Safety & Environmental Division, will be making a web presentation from 7 - 8.30 PM on Wednesday 15 July 2020 providing an overview of the NICNAS reforms. 

All members of the RACI are welcome to attend at no charge and should register on the RACI website.

                                                               Synopsis:

1. Significant changes will be occurring from 1 July 2020 when the National Industrial Chemicals Notification and Assessment Scheme (NICNAS) will transition to the Australian Industrial Chemical Introduction Scheme (AICIS).

2. In this 30 year old organisation’s history this is a most significant change which will affect the ways in which local manufacturers and importers of industrial chemicals (and formulated products containing industrial chemicals) are dealt with by the AICIS.

3. Adrian will provide an overview of the reforms and their impact on local manufacturers and importers of industrial chemicals and formulated products containing industrial chemicals.

4. There will be the opportunity to ask questions during the presentation.
