Dr Robert McCartney (Resile) will be providing an overview of health surveillance in the workplace.

Speaker: Dr Robert McCartney
Dr Robert McCartney, from Resile, specialising in occupational health risk management, will be making a web presentation from 7.00-8.30pm on 16th September 2020 providing an overview of health surveillance in the workplace.
Dr McCartney is a physician who has specialised in the field of Occupational and Environmental Medicine for over 20 years.
His career goals are:
• Maximise the health, well-being and productivity of working people
• Minimising the human health impacts from industrial practices
He is a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine with the Royal Australian College of Physicians and past president of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Occupational Medicine.
Dr McCartney has extensive experience working with clients in many industries, including mining, energy, manufacturing, transport and petrochemical.
By virtue of his education, training, skills and experience he retains specialised knowledge in the multidisciplinary field of Environmental Medicine involving medicine, environmental science, chemistry and pathology.
Dr McCartney will provide an overview of what health surveillance in the Workplace including

3. Who needs Health Surveillance?
4. Health Surveillance responsibilities
5. Risk based Health Surveillance and Biological Monitoring
6. Assessing exposure risk

8. There will be the opportunity to ask questions during the presentation.
