Please join us for an informative evening of discussion with our guest speaker Simon Tucker on Thursday August 20th at 8pm via Zoom, our second such online meeting in the COVID-19 era.
Simon has decades of pharmaceutical management and R&D experience. He previously led teams at GD Searle, USA, focused on new antivirals including influenza and HIV. While there he was a member of the team responsible for the discovery of the HIV protease inhibitor Amprenavir. He subsequently led the Gene Therapy Group at the University of Glasgow, UK before joining Biota (originator of NA influenza drugs (now Vaxart, one of the companies engaged in COVID-19 vaccine development). He is a founder & former CEO & Managing Director of 360biolabs, a successful Melbourne based CRO and is currently Chairman of Jumpstart-Fertility: an international biotech focused on drugs to address female infertility and Chief Scientific Officer of Firebrick Pharma: an Australian biotech focused on managing infectious diseases, including COVID-19.
