Peptide Users Group 2021 Symposium
Friday Oct 22 2021
Peptide Users Group 2021 Symposium
October 22nd, 1.30 – 5.30pm AEDT
Plenary presentation
Professor Glenn King
Institute for Molecular Bioscience, The University of Queensland.
Title: Neuroprotective and cardioprotective peptide-drug candidate from the K’gari funnel-web spider: therapeutic applications and manufacturing challenges.
This symposium will showcase presentations from students, ECRs and MCRs. We invite all interested peptide researchers to submit an abstract to present their work. We have fantastic prizes on offer, including paid registration to the Solid Phase Peptide Symposium (currently delayed to May 2022).
There will be three rounds of presentations (students, ECRs, MCRs) to allow for a fair assessment comparison. Note: ECR is defined as 5 years post PhD, and MCR as 5 – 15 years post PhD, relative to opportunity in each case (take career gaps into consideration). Students can be honours, masters or PhD.
We look forward to supporting students, ECRs and MCRs of the Australian peptide science community. We all know that opportunities to present research have not been readily available in the last 18 months, and the Peptide Users Group Committee are eager to support the next generation of researchers at our 2021 Symposium.
Download the abstract template here and submit via this Google form by 10am on Friday October 8th.
