The Polymer Division recognises excellence in polymer science and technology through a number of prizes and awards. Of these students and young scientists are eligible for the Treloar Prize, the O’Donnell Prize, the CRC Prize and for Student Travel support. The Polymer Citations recognise general contributions to polymer science and in particular contributions to the Polymer Division. The Sangster Award is made to scientists up to the age of 40 years who have made a significant contribution to polymer science in Australia and New Zealand. The Bruce Guise Industrial Polymer Technology Award recognises major contributions to industrial polymer science and technology research. Finally, the most prestigious award of the Polymer Division is the Batteard-Jordan Medal.
The highest award offered by the Division awarded for outstanding achievement in polymer science in Australia.
Offered to an outstanding Australian mid-career polymer scientist to encourage their work in polymer science or technology and to help them gain international recognition.
Applying or nominating others for an award is a significant way to be involved in the Institute.
