Weickhardt Medal


Distinguished Contribution to Economic Advancement. This Award shall be made every year to a full member (MRACI and above) of the RACI who, in the opinion of the judging committee has contributed significantly towards the economic advancement of the Australian economy through work in the chemistry area.

The Award is a medal, named the Weickhardt medal.

Nominations


Nominations open on 1 April and close 30 June.

Candidates may apply or be nominated for this award.The candidate is required to be a current financial member for a minimum of 3 years. The application/nomination submission should include a current CV, reports outlining the contribution to policy development, commercial activity and technology transfer. Contribution through the work as a member of the RACI should also be highlighted plus email and telephone contacts of four referees.

 

The successful candidate will deliver a lecture at a suitable occasion.  

 

If in the opinion of the board there is no candidate who has sufficient merit, the Board may refrain from making an award.
The decision of the judges will be subject to the approval of the RACI Board. The Board decision is final and no discussions or correspondence will be entered into.
