Earlier this year the RACI Vic Early Career Chemists Group (ECCG) and the RACI Careers Development program co-hosted a webinar on Mental Health in the workplace. This event, aimed at increasing awareness around mental health and providing resources to support both ourselves and others, was part of the “Careers Thursday” webinar series.

The webinar featured a presentation from Kim Groizard, a volunteer with the Black Dog Institute on "Breaking Down Depression", where Kim shared her lived experience with mental illness. Kim’s presentation provided insights on signs and symptoms of mental illness, where and when to seek help, and practical strategies for supporting others in our communities. Following Kim’s talk, she was joined by workplace psychologist Samantha Sellwood from Headstrong Workplaces for a Q&A session.

The full webinar is available to view here.
Sincere thanks to our speakers Kim and Samantha, as well as 2021 RACI Careers Development sponsors: DCS Technical, Envirolab and Laboratory Credit Union, and RACI VIC ECCG sponsor, BUCHI.
