Awards

We have 4 categories of awards this year: Technician, Thesis, Supervisor/Mentor, and Teacher. All close on 26th September 2025. See Branch Awards - Royal Australian Chemical Institute for further information.

BRANCH COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS

We are seeking nominations from RACI members for the election to the Branch Committee to commence in Nov 2025.

If you are interested in standing for these positions, please complete the attached form and send it to the Victorian Branch Coordinator (raci-vicccmt@raci.org.au). If you are unable to stand but know someone who would be interested in standing for one of these positions, please encourage them to submit their nomination. Please note below which Committee you intend to nominate for. We require nominations by Mon 1^st Sept. Voting for the positions will take place between the 8^th and 22^nd Sept.

Important information: (1) You must be an RACI Victorian member to hold any executive role. (2) If you are nominating for an executive position (Chair/Chair Elect/Treasurer/Secretary) you require two RACI members to support your application – preferably from the committee you are seeking to join. (3) Nominations for general committee members require no nomination signatures.   (4) The term of each position is for 1-2 years.

Please can I ask for clarification of which positions on the Victorian Branch Committee are up for election this year?

The recently updated RACI By-Laws place no distinction on nominations for ordinary members (up to three) and the executive positions.

Additionally, whilst the President-Elect serves up to four consecutive years on the committee, all other positions have two year terms.

Appointed Committee Members, which are voted in by the Branch Committee, have a one-year term.

Hi Dan, we have been told by NO that these are guidelines to follow as best we can. The positions available are listed on the original attached document - secretary, treasurer and general member
