Are you a young chemist passionate about connecting with others and helping shape the future of chemistry in Australia? We'd love to hear from you!
The RACI Younger Chemists Committee (RYCC) is seeking Expressions of Interest from motivated RACI members to join the committee in 2026.
The RYCC was recently established as a Committee of the RACI Board, providing a national voice for younger chemists and advising on programs, services, and opportunities that support and grow the young chemistry community in Australia and beyond 🌏.
🔍 For 2026, we are seeking state representatives from:
📍 NT | ACT | SA | TAS | QLD
We're keen to build a committee that reflects the diversity of chemistry disciplines and career pathways, with strong links across academia, industry, and government.
✅ We encourage Expressions of Interest from RACI members who are:
🎓 Undergraduate or postgraduate chemistry students
🔬 Early‑career chemists
⚗️ Recent chemistry graduates working in the chemistry profession
🕒 What's involved?
• Two‑year appointment
• ~12 meetings per year (held online 💻)
• A chance to contribute, advocate, and make a real impact for young chemists
