Queensland Health is seeking a Radiochemist to join the Radiation Health Unit in Brisbane. This role supports the delivery of specialist radioanalytical chemistry services that underpin radiation protection, environmental monitoring, and public health decision-making across Queensland.
The position involves routine and non-routine radionuclide analysis, radiochemical separations, method development, quality assurance, and technical reporting within an accredited laboratory environment. The work is applied and service-focused, with outcomes that directly inform regulatory and public health actions.
This opportunity would suit chemists with experience in analytical chemistry - particularly those with experience in trace and ultra-trace analysis, separations, and working at or near detection limits. Familiarity with spectrometric techniques and quality systems such as ISO/IEC 17025 will be highly regarded.
