Some members may have read the front page article in The Weekend Australian"(14-15 March) headed "'Holy crap, it worked!': the tech guru, his staffy cross, ChatGPT and a cure for cancer". It is heart-warming yet incredible tale of a brilliant IT entrepreneur and non-scientist who teamed with scientists at the forefront of mRNA research to develop a cure for the deadly cancer afflicting his beloved dog. RACI past president Prof. Pall Thorhardson and his team at the UNSW RNA Institute had a critical role in creating the mRNA vaccine. I've attached a copy of the article for those who haven't had a chance to read it yet.
