Exciting news for RACI members living in the NSW Southern Highlands and nearby regions. Past RACI President Prof. Pall Thordarson is speaking at the next meeting of the Royal Society of New South Wales Southern Highlands Branch at the Mittagong RSL on Thursday 19th February. The RSNSW Southern Highlands Branch has been catering to natural philosophy enthusiasts for a long time, and has hosted a cavalcade of outstanding and distinguished speakers from a wide spectrum of disciplines who have both informed and entertained audiences. Many audience members choose to have a meal after the talk and take the opportunity to chat with the speaker.
For those travelling from further afield and wish to stay overnight, the Springs Motel is right next door to the RSL. For train travellers, it's a 950 m, 12 minute walk from the Mittagong railway station.
If you have the time, why not make a long weekend of your visit to the beautiful Southern Highlands? There's wineries to explore, restaurants to try out and maybe even enjoy a round of golf.
