Do any of our community members have connections with universities in Shanghai?

We are exploring the possibility of holding the ICQ Global Chemistry Educators Program at a university in Shanghai in July 2026, rather than at a local high school. The primary reason is to give students the chance to experience chemistry in a university laboratory setting, as high school labs in the region are often not as well equipped as those in Australia.

You might want to contact Professor Dawei Ma of the SIOC (and mention my name for what that might be worth). Professor Ma is a very busy guy but may have younger colleagues he can connect you with so as to help in your request.

Shanghai University and UTS have a strong relationship, dating back to 1994.  I have joint appointments at both places (now centre director in Shanghai and honorary at UTS).  Shanghai Uni would be keen to pursue programmes such as this.
