3MT is an exciting, fast-paced event held in over 900 universities worldwide each year. The RACI Victoria Branch is proud to host the State Competition of the first Joint ACS Australia–RACI 3MT in Chemical Sciences. This competition gives students the chance to refine their elevator pitch, sharpen their presentation skills, and highlight the impact of their research. Participants have 180 seconds to tell the story of their research to a general audience, using only a single, static slide for support. The winner of the Victoria Branch Finals will go on to represent the State in the National Finals, to be held in November this year. If you are a current Honours, Masters or PhD student working on a research project in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry or Physical Chemistry at a university or higher education institute in Victoria, we encourage you to take part in this exciting opportunity to showcase your work.
Supervisors - please share with your Victorian students.
Students - please accept this invite and email Ivanhoe.Leung@unimelb.edu.au with your title and chemistry area to register your intent to compete by 5PM 25th August 2025.
The Victoria Branch Winner and Runner up will attend the national competition with other states, including ACT, NSW, QLD, and SA. You must be an RACI member to be eligible for our state prize.
