Virtual Conference of the Division of Inorganic Chemistry
The Inorganic Division of the RACI will be holding a virtual IC21 meeting from Tuesday 6th – Thursday 8th July 2021. The IC meetings provide inorganic chemists from a wide variety of backgrounds the opportunity to discuss cutting edge research and techniques in a supportive environment.
IC21 will predominantly be a virtual meeting but we are encouraging registered participants to connect with others in their local area for in-person events. More details available soon.
The virtual component of meeting will be held over three days for approximately 4-5 hours per day from around 10:30 am – 3:30 pm (Australian Central Standard Time, ACST), hopefully fitting in with as many time zones as possible. There will be a focus on early career researcher presentations, along with poster sessions and the Stranks Award of the RACI.

Don Stranks Awards
Don Stranks was a leading member of the Australian and international inorganic chemistry community. The Don Stranks Awards commemorate his substantial contribution to inorganic chemistry in Australia, and particularly his nurture and encouragement of students. The Don Stranks Awards are open to student members of the RACI (or an affiliated society) participating in the virtual Conference of the Division of Inorganic Chemistry and recognize outstanding performance in research within a current PhD candidature.
The Don Stranks Awards will be judged by an expert panel based on a poster and oral presentation. All abstract submissions by student presenters will be considered for finals of the Don Stranks Award (if you do not want to be considered you must tick the box on the abstract submission to specifically remove your paper from consideration).
