All RACI Fellows, Honorary Life Members, Long Standing Members ( 25
years), and their partners are cordially invited to attend the Luncheon
on Friday 27th May at L'Aqua, Cockle Bay Wharf, Darling Harbour.
The RACI Fellows luncheon is an annual event designed to celebrate the
achievements and contributions of our long-standing members and RACI
Fellows of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. This event brings
together chemical professionals from across academia, technical and
service industries in an idyllic location featuring panoramic views of
the water.
The event includes canapes on arrival, a delicious 3-course meal with
table service and standard drinks in an iconic location.

Keynote speaker: Kate Simpson
Kate Simpson is a water treatment professional with over 15 years' experience. After graduating with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Sydney, Kate immediately entered the water industry, working for industry leader Veolia. Through her career, Kate has worked in both industrial and municipal operations, using technologies ranging from traditional filtration processes to more advanced membrane systems. Kate worked for 7 years at Sydney Desalination Plant at Kurnell in a variety of roles including process and project engineering. Her most memorable day of work occured in December 2015, when a tornado with wind gusts of over 200 km/h battered the plant, causing significant damage. Kate is currently the Operational Excellence Manager for Veolia's water division.
