Queensland Annual Chemistry Symposium (QACS) 2021

Griffith University, Gold Coast Campus

Abstract submissions open now. Download the template here. The closing date for abstract submission is Friday 12 November 2021.

The sixth Queensland Annual Chemistry Symposium (QACS 2021) will highlight the range and diversity of chemistry research in Queensland. This one-day program will incorporate both short communications (3-5 minutes) and longer presentations (10-15 minutes) in concurrent discipline-based sessions during the day, thus allowing students and other delegates to access sessions across a variety of chemistry disciplines. Plenary presentations will bring together researchers across multiple disciplines, and the symposium will be followed by a social gathering to stimulate further networking opportunities. All Queensland chemistry researchers are invited to participate at the symposium. Abstracts for oral presentations are encouraged from all disciplines including (but not limited to) Organic, Inorganic, Polymer, Materials, Physical, Analytical, Biological, Medicinal, Environmental Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and Education.

QACS is taking place on Friday, 26 November 2021.  There will be a mixture of delivery methods - online and face to face - depending on COVID restrictions at the time.

Plenary speakers:

  • Madeleine Schultz
  • Michael Kassiou
  • Michelle Coote
