Tasmanian Titration Competition

Tasmanian Titration Competition
State based Titration Competition for School Students in Tasmania.

The Tasmanian Titration Competition is available now for your school to get involved. Each state throughout Australia runs this stage prior to the national level competition in slightly different ways.

In Tasmania there are usually 2 phases– firstly a Statewide competition which (usually) runs at UTAS for southern schools and on campus for northern schools early in term 3. The second phase involves successful teams from the statewide final being invited to the National final (in late term 3). The national stage involves teams competing against each other while remaining in their own states.

This year because of COVID-19 restrictions all interested schools will be competing in the statewide competition on their own campus. Details for the National Final will also be provided to those who need to know closer to the date.

Samples for your teams will be prepared centrally and sent to your school. All participants that reach the National final receive a gold or silver badge, and have the opportunity to be involved in an Excellent or Highly Commended team for which the school receives a plaque and individuals receive a certificate (from the National coordinator).

To become involved in the Tasmanian competition, teachers will need to talk with their students to arrange teams of three to participate in a group. Teams can enter in the College or High School divisions.

Payments are online only, registering your number of teams will generate an invoice which can be paid immediately, HOWEVER, you are also able to request payment via bank transfer so that you can arrange your school's finance officer to pay the invoice after you fill out the necessary paperwork as required by your school.
