Ms Stevens and Dr Neale Jackson run Lisa J Stevens and Associates a small boutique occupational health and safety consultancy that specialises in chemical management and laboratory safety

 Ms Stevens is currently a participating member of CH-026 Safety in Laboratories Standards Technical Committee

 Dr Jackson is both a chemist and toxicologist with over 20 years teaching laboratory safety, occupational health and safety and chemistry.

DESCRIPTION: 

Participants will guide through the requirements AS 2243.2 Safety in Laboratories – Chemical Aspects and Storage and provide practical solutions for storing chemical both in a laboratory setting and minor stores. 

 This session will also include information relating to the recent amendments including the re-incorporation of Tables 1 and 2 from AS/NZS 2243.10 – Chemical Storage.   

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: 

This short course is suited to anyone who has responsibilities managing laboratories and more specifical managing chemicals in a laboratory environment. (i.e., laboratory technicians, laboratory managers, OHS/WHS professionals) 

 

MATERIALS REQUIRED: 

Participants will need access (either hard copy or electronic access) AS 2243 Safety on Laboratories Part 2 Chemical Aspects and Storage
