WELCOME

ABOUT THE PACIFIC POLYMER FEDERATION

The Pacific Polymer Federation (PPF) was created in 1987 by a group of like-minded individuals from Japan, USA and Australia, and has grown to become the largest organisation representing polymer scientists, engineers and technologists from the Pacific nations. The founding members, Jim O’Donnell and David Hill, RACI, Takeo Saegusa and Akihiro Abe, SPSJ, and Otto Vogl and Joe Salamone, POLY, recognised at that time the importance of the growing economies of Asia and Central and South America, and sought a means to support to support and collaborate with scientists from those regions, and to support domestic researchers. The Pacific Polymer Federation now comprises 16 member countries.

WELCOME TO THE PACIFIC POLYMER CONFERENCE

The Pacific Polymer Conference, held every two years in member countries, is the primary means of communication for our members. These are comprehensive conferences, spanning all areas of polymer research. Polymer science is inherently multidisciplinary, and so the themes of our conference cover all areas of major importance to our technological society. Keynote papers will be delivered on the topics of Polymers for the Environment, Polymers for Health and Polymers for Energy, along the theme of Polymer Fundamentals and Properties. These themes will be supported by a total of 25 symposia. We invite you to contribute talks and posters to this exciting program.
