Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Senior QC Chemist to act as the Subject Matter Expert within our Quality Control Laboratories. This pivotal role will provide essential technical support and guidance across shifts, ensuring the efficient and timely testing and release of Raw Materials, Bulk Intermediates, and Products to support our Production schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide support and guidance within the QC Night Shift team, ensuring the application of safety practices and efficient method development.
  • Quality Testing and Release: Take responsibility for the QC testing schedule, including routine material testing, project/adhoc testing, and stability testing, ensuring timely material and product release.
  • Stakeholder Management: collaborate with R&D, Analytical Development, and Production teams to enhance efficiency and robustness.
  • Problem Solving: Lead problem identification and resolution, offering logical solutions to improve laboratory activities and prevent recurring issues.
  • Decision Making: Make informed decisions within regulatory and specification boundaries,ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Staff Development: Provide leadership and support the development of QC staff, improving laboratory operations and performance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science with Chemistry component.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with specific experience in a Chemistry Laboratory
  • Demonstrated expertise in analytical techniques and quality control processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Knowledge of cGMP guidelines favourable
