Dear RACI Members,

We're excited to announce that we have just launched a new AI-powered chatbot on our website! This chatbot has been trained on a wealth of information related to our organisation. It can answer questions, provide guidance, and even engage in back-and-forth conversations. To access the chatbot, simply click on the chat bubble icon conveniently located at the bottom right corner of every page on our website.

We encourage all members to try out the chatbot and let us know what you think. Your feedback will be valuable in helping us improve the chatbot's knowledge and response accuracy.

How to Provide Feedback

Use the chatbot on our website and ask it questions.

If the chatbot provides an incorrect answer, simply reply with "wrong answer" so we can flag that response for review.

The more feedback we receive from members, the smarter and more helpful the chatbot will become over time.

Our Commitment

The RACI National team will be closely monitoring the chatbot's dashboard and reviewing any messages flagged with "wrong answer." We'll work to update the chatbot's knowledge base with accurate information.

What level of access does the RACI AI Chatbot have to the various Communities' threads?

Hi Daniel,

The chatbot we are using is primarily trained on machine-readable text from documents, plain text, or web-scraped content. It cannot access information dynamically loaded from backend databases or content requiring member log-in credentials.

To maintain privacy for our RACI members, the chatbot will not have access to discussion threads as this is a member-only feature.

Thank you for the reassurance regarding RACI AI ChatBot's knowledge being restricted to publicly accessible information on the website, so discussion threads like this won't be included within its training materials.

The rising ubiquitousness of generative AI does beg the question of whether RACI has a position or policy relating to this extremely useful tool being used within the areas of interest to members?

Although the link provided was broken, the RACI AI ChatBot pointed me to your recent Blog post Artificial intelligence and chemistry that was authored by Prof. Ian Maxwell and had first appeared in Chemistry in Australia.
