Weickhardt Medal

This Award shall be made every year to a full member (MRACI and above) of the RACI who, in the opinion of the judging committee has contributed significantly towards the economic advancement of the Australian economy through work in the chemistry area.

About the award

This Award shall be made every year to a full member (MRACI and above) of the RACI who, in the opinion of the judging committee has contributed significantly towards the economic advancement of the Australian economy through work in the Chemistry area. The Award shall consist of a medal, named the Weickhardt Medal Award. Candidates may apply or be nominated for this award.

The candidate is required to be a current financial member for a minimum of 3 years. 

The successful candidate will deliver a lecture on a suitable occasion.

The application/nomination submission should include a current CV, reports outlining the contribution to policy development, commercial activity, and technology transfer. Contribution through the work as part of the RACI should also be highlighted plus the email and telephone contacts of four referees.

After the closing date, no further nominations for the award shall be accepted.

If in the opinion of the Board there is no candidate who has sufficient merit, the Board may refrain from making an award. The decision of the Board is final and no discussions or correspondence will be entered into.

The RACI National Awards are open from 1 April to 30 June.
