About this award
This award is to honour and welcome a chemist who is new to Australia, works in Australia, and has done so for up to three years (career breaks up to 6 years will be considered). The candidate should be at a career stage where they would qualify for election as a Fellow of the RACI. Only work performed in Australia will be considered.
The award requires either self-nomination or nomination by another RACI member.
The candidate is required to be a financial RACI member for a minimum of 12 months and to have graduated from a tertiary institution overseas having studied a predominantly Chemistry based course.
Provide:
- in no more than 1 page a description of a key project or innovation from your career here in Australia.
- a current CV.
- any involvement in an RACI activity will be looked upon favourably.
- Email and telephone contacts of no more than two RACI Fellows (or prominent overseas chemists) who know the candidate personally and are prepared to act as referees.

After the closing date, no further nominations for the award shall be accepted.
If in the opinion of the Board there is no candidate who has sufficient merit, the Board may refrain from making an award. The decision of the Board is final and no discussions or correspondence will be entered into.
