Join us for the Early Career Chemists Annual Murder Mystery where fantasy meets intrigue and help solve the mystery that threatens the Enchanted Realm. Will you be the hero who uncovers the truth, or the villain who tries to keep it hidden? The fate of this fairy tale is in your hands!
Let us set the scene:
Once upon a time, there was a faraway land called the Enchanted Realm. The people of the land got along harmoniously for many centuries... that is, until Queen Black gained control of the Silver Tree Forest. It was not long before happy endings turned into nightmares, as the ruling Kingdom of Gullyshire suffered repeated attacks, and the villains began to gain control. The mystic mountains filled with nefarious monsters and were no longer safe, and wicked witches took over the charmed forest.
Queen Black has shocked the realm and has invited all of the territories to the Dark Castle of the Silver Tree Forest to sign a peace treaty. She may have evil intentions, but nonetheless, you have been invited by Queen Black, and this is where your story begins.
What to expect:
Immersive Storytelling: Step into a captivating fairy tale world and be part of a gripping murder mystery. Interact with fellow early career chemists who will bring this enchanting story to life.
Engaging Activities: Participate in various activities to gather clues, solve puzzles, and interrogate suspects. Use your wits and creativity to piece together the mystery and unmask the culprit.
Delectable Feast: Enjoy a sumptuous dinner fit for a royal banquet. Savour delicious dishes that will delight your taste buds and add to the magical atmosphere.
Character assignments and dress code:
Upon purchasing your ticket, you will choose between a major and minor character from the fairy tale world. Along with your character information, detailed costume suggestions will be provided, but feel free to add your personal flair. Whether you’re a valiant knight, a cunning villain, or a charming princess, your attire will reflect your character’s role in this fantastical mystery. The more creative and accurate your costume, the more you’ll enhance the evening’s magical ambiance – and you might even win a prize.
